Met museum

       One piece of art that I saw was a lion that was chiseled into stone and the incredible detail put into it by whoever created it. This tiger is heavily detailed in it's face and the rib. The use of these lion statues was to be protectors of graves and were called tomb guardians or monuments. Another art work I saw was a piece of pottery that portrayed Dionysus the god of wine and alcohol surrounded by grapes this pot was used to either mix or store wine. The pottery also portrays how significant the 12 Olympian gods were to the Greek and explains how much they symbolize. Another use of the bowl was storage as it was large and could store wine which was much cleaner thank water as the time since filtered water didn't exist. Another example of art that I saw was a piece of art that showed significance is a statue of the Roman emperor Julius Caesar.
